Cue Imagination, Please…

Retreat, retreat!

Well last weekend was the Beach Retreat with the Creedmoor Road Baptist Church. We went to Fort Caswell, owned by the North Carolina Baptist Assembly and had an incredible time. The weather was perfect, the students were awesome, the food was tasty, and (I believe) our Father in Heaven was glorified.

Many thanks go out to all of my friends and family members that were praying for this weekend. I really appreciate your constant support and advice. The Lord gave me wisdom, understanding, and boldness, and allowed me to preach His Word (Gen 1-3 and Eph 2) to the students with great clarity and power. They seemed really interested and were truly excited about “thinking critically” as followers of Christ. They ain’t afraid of loving the Lord their God with all their MINDS (Matt. 22:37)!!!

I’ve realized more and more the need to “step up” my own critical thinking skills. There are so many difficult subjects out there that need to be handled and answered for the Christian community, and my prayer is that Jesus will continue to work on my heart and the hearts of others so that we may become wiser, more intelligent followers of Him. It’s so easy to get bogged down in school work (and “work” work) that I often neglect these skills. May it never be so!
